WHAT IS NFC Tag
A great way for sharing information quickly and easily, NFC tags are tiny electronic chips that can be attached to our metal or plastic cards. NFC tags store information (such as your contact details, website etc.) and can send this data wirelessly to other NFC supported devices. We use NTAG 213 and 215 for these tags.
DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS
● NFC tags have a diameter of 25mm.
● To apply to metal cards (0.5mm+), a 25mm diameter circle must be etched for placement, and a sticker is adhered to the top - this sticker can be printed to work cohesively with the design (for standard metal cards only, this does not apply to Quick metal cards)
● NFC tags are embedded within PVC plastic cards, so no sticker is required
● NFC tags do not require any special devices to load or read, just an app on your phone (must be NFC enabled)
● NFC configuration is not included by default; additional fees apply for configuration
● Capacity: NTAG 213: 868 bytes; NTAG 215: 540 bytes
